Established in 1984, Martin Trailer Company manufactures MARTIN Lowbed, flatbed, tilting platform and skeletal trailers. Capacity from 20 tonnes to 400 tonnes. The company also manufactures the MARTIN Grid Roller. Martin Trailer Company is also a distributers of HELLA lights, Cooper Chengshan truck tires and DAVIS MAGNET 5th wheels.
The company's focus is to grow the local Southern African market in the lowbed market with new technology and products and to compliment this market with quality products from around the world. Coupled to this, the company is rapidly expanding into the international market with its trailers and compaction equipment, offering service, quality and competitive pricing to the world market.
Grant Gore & Sons (Pty) Ltd was established in 1984 by Grant Gore. The trailer manufacturing and grid roller manufacturing companies were purchased from Barlows South Africa in 1984 after years of sucessfull manufacture into Southern Africa. The company was established to service the transport, mining, construction, civil engineering, local government, national government, military and energy sectors with new trailers and to service and repair existing trailers. Since then the company has expanded its market share in the heavy duty trailer market to become the market leader in lowbed manufacture in Southern Africa. In late 2008, Martin Trailer Company was formed to be the manufacturing and marketing company for the Martin brand of equipment, and manufactures Martin equipment under licence from Grant Gore and Sons.
