Description about VC Management Services

VC Management Services was founded by Vincent Carruthers in 1989 and brings years of experience to environmental projects. Jane and Vincent help their clients to develop the productivity of their resources through sustainable practices and ethical principles.
Vincent is an author of many books, including "The Magaliesberg" and "Frog Field Guide". He often presents on topics as diverse as the Magaliesberg Biosphere and South African Amphibians.

Frog Field Guide [Saturday, May 23, 2009]

Vincent Carruthers is co-authoring a new field guide to the frogs of southern Africa with Professor Louis du Preez of the North West University.

The book will be a major work with more than a thousand illustrations, completely updated nomenclature and a new approach to frog identification. It is published by Struik and is expected to be in bookshops by mid 2009.

The Magaliesberg [Saturday, May 23, 2009]

The popularity of The Magaliesberg, by Vincent Carruthers has proved to be remarkably durable.

First published in 1990, the book is in need of considerable revision.

Terrance (Spike) McCarthy, co-author of the recent publication Earth and Life , has given invaluable input to the geology section and Mandy Esterhuysen of Wits Archaeology Department has helped rewrite the pre-history.

The revised edition will again be published by Protea Book House, 1067 Burnett Street, Arcadia, Pretoria.

Assessments are conducted on proposed development sites in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act and reports are submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority. The surveys are directed by Professor Carruthers who has specific expertise in this field. Current or recent projects have been incorporated into environmental impact assessments
