Ramtar Construction is dedicated to providing first-class building, renovation and civils construction services to our clients. Quality materials and craftsmanship go into every project. Our staff are highly qualified professionals with over 10 years experience in the Civil Engineering Industry.

We offer civil engineering construction services for roads, pipelines, earthworks, township infrastructure, housing projects and landfills. Building services includes residential and commercial buildings, retaining walls, earthworks and landscaping and parking lots.

Ramtar Construction offers specialist design and construction services for MSE Walls (Mechanically Stabilised Earth Walls) such as geogrid reinforced block / wrap around walls, Terramesh systems etc. as well as gabion gravity walls.

Our ownership structure is 100% HDI with a 51% women ownership component. Thus, Ramtar Construction is a Level 3 contributor in terms of BBBEE.

B&B Renovation - Amanzimtoti [Tuesday, June 01, 2010]

Commenced: February 2010 Completion: May 2010
Construction Value: R 450,000
Value of fittings, finishings & furnishings: R 900,000

The project entailed the renovation of an existing 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom house into a 7 bedroom, 7 bathroom guesthouse to 4-star standards. The renovation also included the upgrade of an entertainment facility with 2 ablutions, function room with 2 ablutions, and addition of an asphalt paved parking lot.

Work included:
* Demolition of internal walls and addition of partition walls and doorways
* Lifting of existing tiles and installation of new tiles
* New aluminium windows and sliding doors were installed and an office was added on to the building
* The bathrooms were all fully renovated, plumbed and re-fitted with premium class finishes
* All walls were treated and repaired before painting with PVA paint and fresco paint on feature walls
* New cornices and skirtings were installed
* The upgrade included electrical re-wiring for new lighting scheme
* Grading, drainage, base and paving for new parking lot
* Management of external contractors

Ramtar Construction was recently appointed to construct the eathworks and dam lining for two ornamental dams at Simbithi Eco Estate. The dams will incorporate approximately 5500sq.m of Geosynthetic Clay Linings.
