Members of the medical profession who were frustrated by the high premiums and poor quality of insurance cover for their assets, formed Medigro Brokers in July 1996. Medigro Brokers was a decision to take matters into their own hands whereby costs are significantly reduced by eliminating cross subsidisation of the general public and competent service levels are ensured. The result? Excellent premiums, unique short-term insurance benefits and above all, a truly professional service - exclusively to selected invited clients.

To protect the claims ratios that ensure our competitive rating structure, Medigro does not accept new clients who do not conform to the risk profile of our established client base.

Our Managing Director, David van Heerden, has been in the short-term industry for more than 27 years. Amongst others, as a managing director of Alexander Forbes as well as heading up AIG Africa's personal lines. With our staff, David ensures that our client's insurance needs are expertly assessed and competently managed in a most cost effective manner.
