Description about Incus Data

Incus Data specialises in the technical training of software developers, programmers, system analysts and architects, web developers and IT project managers.  We have been training programmers since 1988 and have been an ISETT SETA approved training organisation since 2002.

We offer a variety of course, including Java, JEE, JSP, EJB, JSF, Object-Oriented Analysis and Design using UML, C and C++ Programming, C#, Visual Basic (VB.NET), ASP.NET, Web Development with HTML and CSS, JavaScript, XML Development, Perl, PHP, SQL Fundamentals, Linux Fundamentals, Project Management for IT and more.

We focus exclusively on programmer training. This focus enables us to concentrate our resources: considerable time and money is spent on the research needed to ensure that our course material is up-to-date and in line with international trends and standards.

Introduction to Programming [Monday, February 22, 2010]

The Introduction to Programming course is designed for delegates who have no programming experience. It covers the fundamental concepts of programming: data types, variables, conditional and iterative statements, modular design and error handling. It also includes a brief introduction to the SDLC and databases.

Linux Fundamentals [Monday, February 22, 2010]

The Linux Fundamentals course introduces technically oriented people and programmers to the fundamentals of the Linux operating system. It covers topics from installation and system architecture to scripting languages and principles of Linux programming.

Intended Audience:
The Linux Fundamentals course is suitable for technically oriented persons or programmers wanting to become familiar with the Linux operating system.
Prerequisites:
Some technical aptitude is required to attend the Linux Fundamentals course. Previous C programming experience or our will be an advantage.

Advanced SQL for DB2 [Monday, February 22, 2010]

The Advanced SQL for DB2 course covers more advanced aspects of the Structured Query Language (SQL), with specific reference to the IBM DB2 database. Contents include advanced table joins, advanced operators, expressions, operators, views, user defined functions, stored procedures (DB2 SQL PL) and database performance considerations.

Intended Audience:
The Advanced SQL for DB2 course is suitable for anyone who needs to use advanced SQL to update or query the IBM DB2 database, either on its own or from within another development environment.
Prerequisites:

SQL Fundamentals [Monday, February 22, 2010]

The SQL Fundamentals course covers the fundamentals of the Structured Query Language (SQL). Contents include table creation, inserts, updates and deletes, basic and advanced data queries and joins. Delegates are introduced to the fundamental concepts of relational databases, and are made aware of some of the differences between popular databases. This course is not specific to any particular RDBMS.
