Description about D.During & Co Valuations
After 25 years with Steer & Co, I decided to leave their employ and set up a company of my own on 19 May, 2008.
Whilst working for Steer, I managed their commercial property portfolio, including Investment sales and letting, as well as practicing as a Property Valuer. With this background I have gained an enormous amount of experience and expertise in my profession, both as a Valuer and Property Manager.
Valuations that I have conducted for, inter alia, private clients, Attorneys, Auditors and Financial Institutions include most types of immoveable property, i.e. Land, Commercial and Industrial property, Residential (sectional title, freehold and apartment blocks), Roof Rights, Filling Stations, Expropriations, as well as Insurance/Replacement cost valuations particularly for Bodies Corporate, to name some.
In addition, I also do Vehicle, Plant and Machinery valuations from High Rise Cranes to Printing Presses and Marine Vessels.
During the last Municipal General Valuation I was appointed as a Municipal Valuer for the smallholding region. I was also retained by a number of clients to object, on their behalf, to their new Municipal Valuations and to date have had much success in this regard.
I am registered with the SA Council for the Property Valuers Profession as a Professional Associated Valuer (reg 4857) and I am also a member of the (Southern Branch).
