Claire Ashford has been practising in the field of speech therapy for many years. She has a particular interest in working with individuals who have communication and swallowing difficulties as a result of a stroke, traumatic brain injury or a degenerative disorder. Based at the Mayo Clinic, alongside the Flora Hospital, her private practice offers specialised care for individuals presenting with aphasia, dysphagia, apraxia, dysarthria and cognitive language disorders. She works closely with a team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists and psychologists to provide the individual and their family with the support they require in the process of recovering from a stroke or head injury.
