Description about CED Print and Finishing

CED Print and Finishing was established in April 2008 focussing specifically on Digital Book Printing generally referred to as Print on Demand “POD” and is situated in Milnerton, Cape Town. The company is owned and managed by Colin Doyle who has 20 years experience in Printing and Publishing fields having served an apprenticeship at Nationale Boek Drukkery and was employed as a manager at CTP Book Printers and Paarl Print.

CED Print and Finishing offers full POD facilities with full colour, black and white printing, Perfect Binding, Saddle stitching, ring & wiro binding and lamination are all produced in-house, however, when UV Varnishing is requested this is outsource to the experts CED utilises the latest in Xerox print technology and is constantly investigating ways of utilising the latest in Digital Technology. CED Print and Finishing is capable of printing in excess of 9600 sheets per hour and binding in excess of 800 books per day. It’s because of this focus in POD that allows CED to keep it’s overheads down as there are no distractions like printing of banners, business cards, posters, labels etc. that allows us to be competitively price. However we do have clients who prefer their print work to be managed via a single source and it’s through our association with some of the leading printers in Cape Town that we are able to do this.

The company was founded with the single intention of building quality and long lasting relationships with clients where only the best of service is offered and where integrity is the order of the day. CED sees itself as an extension of the clients business and it’s with this in mind that the company doesn’t operate off fixed office hours, as often the clients production deadlines requires extended hours of production.
