Lion Experience at PURUMA PRIDE LION PARK This Day Tour is accompanied by a qualified registered National Tourist Guide. We depart at 13:00 from Klerkdorp for the farm Myburgh in the Viljoenskroon district, about 100 km from Klerksdorp. PURUMA PRIDE, well known for majestic lions, is only 20km away from Viljoenskroon. A guided tour of the Park, covering 40 hectares with more than 110 lions, will take place. Rare white lions can also be seen. You are able to play with the Lion cubs (subject to availability), they can be touched and photographed. After a memorable day of much joy and excitement, and many photos, we head back for Klerksdorp to arrive at about 18h00. Day Tours are bookable through the INFO CENTRE or even consider treating yourself for that very SPECIAL OCCASION and book a night or 2 to stay over at PURUMA PRIDE. Guests have a choice of a luxurious chalet or they can be trapped in a real African experience by staying overnight in a safari tent. An outdoor shower, a few yards from the lion camp provides an experience for the adventurous. Hospitality, accompanied by lion viewing tours, feeding of the lion cubs, horse rides, an unforgettable sunset, a sparkling night sky, a fire lighting the boma and a welcome silence creates an unforgettable atmosphere. The lodge has a variety of activities and facilities to offer the guests: • Swimming pool • Trampoline • Loin viewing tours • Feeding the cubs • Horse rides • Boma for functions - catering or you can do your own catering. You can hire the boma for private functions Return transfers & admission fee at the Lion Park is included, lunch is at own expense. HARTBEESPOORT AND ELEPHANT SANCTUARY This Day Tour is also accompanied by a qualified registered National Tourist Guide. The bus departs at 08h00 from Klerksdorp for the Hartbeespoort Dam area (about 160 km from Klerksdorp) where we will stop at 150 curio shops selling African curios and artifacts. Amazing art and bargains will keep you busy for a while, so take enough spending money. Then we visit a snake park before we arrive at the Elephant Sanctuary at 13:45, for a two hour tour to start at 14:00. You will be provided with in-depth info and insight into African elephants and will be able to touch and interact with them. You can also walk hand in trunk with them, and for an additional cost you are able to experience the joy of riding on elephant back! Note that children under 8 years will have to wait another year. Make sure to allow for enough spending money to barter at the curio stalls and for your lunch and drinks. Return to Klerksdorp at 18:00 after a rewarding, adventurous day!
