HARD DRIVE RECOVERY_
Failure in drive and media systems can often be attributed to human error, software problems or hardware malfunctions. Proper recovery protocols are essential to prevent further data loss or damage to file system structures. The first step in the recovery process is a comprehensive media diagnostics. The media is then cloned using specialised software, and data is recovered from the image. In cases where a drive image is not possible, our applications can reconstruct the data. In the event of physical damage or mechanical failure, damaged components are replaced and the drive is repaired in a cleanroom environment.

RAID DATA RECOVERY_
RAID volumes are also prone to failure under certain circumstances such as power spikes and dips, controller failure or environmental damage. Repairable configurations include RAID 0, 1, 5 and JBOD.

TAPE DATA RECOVERY_
It is a common practice to back up data to tape drives; however tapes are prone to failure for the same reasons as other magnetic media. We are able to recover data from DAT, DLT, LTO, AIT tapes.
CD, DVD, STIFFY AND FLASHDRIVE DATA RECOVERY_
It is often possible to accomplish CD and DVD data recovery provided the medium is not totally destroyed. Loss of data is a common occurrence with such optical storage devices as well as with removable magnetic storage devices such as 3.5” stiffies or USB devices such as flash drives.

In the event of a recovery not being possible, we will NOT invoice you for the attempted recovery. We will always give you a quote before proceeding with recovery. Exactly how much data we are able to recover will depend on the cause and the nature of the damage, though it is often possible to recover all the data.
