Christmas passed us in a whirl of fun and activity as we had a family visit from Edinburgh, an excited couple on their way to a honeymoon cruise, dancing girls in a flurry of make up getting ready for a competition and some of our regulars still hard at work!

January started off with a bang as we welcomed groups from various companies to Jhb for workshops, seminars and meetings. Braai vleis and late night swims were the order of the day ………see, it’s not just all work & no play in Jhb !!!!

On that note, Keris & I have been out on the town, in the name of research of course, finding plenty for you to do in & around our area. The Barnyard Theatre is a fantastic, fairly new addition in Boksburg (at the Galleria, ) and provides a great nights entertainment for families, couples or groups. We recently saw Diamonds & Pearls (Neil Diamond, Celine Dion & Friends) as a couple and have booked for a group of 30 in great anticipation of the “Absolute 80’s” show which starts soon. Shows run all week; have a look at the link below for further information.

Il Gusto & Adega close by remain 2 of our favourite restaurants, a special treat as we always enjoy a great meal & service to match. We visited the Azzurri Café on Sunday afternoon for a quick snack & sundowners’, a great atmosphere & good value for money. So let us point you in the right direction next time you are here & we can hopefully make Boksburg and your business trip or general visit a little more exciting! The fresh mornings & crisp evenings are creeping in day by day. The leaves on the trees will slowly start to change into a rainbow of browns, yellows and reds as the Highveld chill approaches. It will soon be time for HOT chocolate, snug electric blankets, under floor heating and long evenings in front of the T.V. We will have all of the above ready & waiting for your next visit.
